Lucky number 3

I have a lot of 3's in this cycle. It's my 3rd IVF. I have 3 embryos. I transferred on day 3. So, of course I started wondering (hoping?) if 3 is a lucky number.

According to Wikipedia, in Chinese culture, the number 3 sounds similar to the character for "birth" , and is considered a lucky number.

That is awesome. While not savant like, I'm a big geek about numbers, I love patterns and palendromes. Look at today's date (US format) 2/13/2013 -pretty cool! Definately a positive sign!

I didn't even notice that about the date yesterday. I know someone who got married on 9/10/11. I think partly so he would be able to remember his anniversary.

Here are some other neat facts about 3: The number 3 is the first odd prime number, and the second smallest prime. It is both the first Fermat prime (22n + 1) and the first Mersenne prime (2n − 1), the only number that is both, as well as the first LUCKY prime. (There actually is such a thing.)

It has significance in many world religions including Christianity (Trinity), Hinduism (Trimurti), Judaism (3 Patriarchs), Islam (3 holy cities for pilgrimage), Buddhism (3 Jewels), Taoism (3 Pure Ones), and Wicca (Triple Goddess).

According to Pythagoras and the Pythagorean school, the number 3, which they called triad, is the noblest of all digits, as it is the only number to equal the sum of all the terms below it, and the only number whose sum with those below equals the product of them and itself.

Omg, now I feel really bad about changing the 3 comments on this post to 4. Eek! Sorry. But I just have to say, this gives me creepy-good feelings, too. 13 is a lucky number in our household, which is why I decided to test on the 13th... but that whole "birth" meaning behind it is just too crazy to ignore. I think you should test at 3 a.m.! And wait 3 minutes before looking!

Umm wow! That is awesome and so are all these comments! This is why I love the blogging world. We all have each others backs and offer so much support. I think my new lucky number should be 3!

This is awesome! I am so freakin' excited for you guys, and I hope this is a sign that everything's falling into place! Will be eagerly awaiting the 25th with you...
